Our Annual Tootsie Roll Drive is coming up September 20th-22nd!

Look for us and donate outside your local businesses or on the street corner.  This is a nationwide program so no matter where you go you should see Knights collecting money to help people with intellectual disabilities.  100% of the donations collected by our council stay in our local communities to help our schools' special education programs or other local programs.

Sami and Joey present a check to Britney and Robert Kaluzny from Hope Helps to put towards their Special Needs Sensory Playground in Coal City.  The money donated was raised through our annual Tootsie Roll Drive. Click on the picture to visit Hope Helps website and learn more about their amazing contributions to the local community.

Who We Are

The Braidwood Knights of Columbus is a Catholic lay organization, administered and supported by Catholic laymen, as a fraternal society (Order) seeking for each member (Brother Knight) to more firmly be footed in faith, hope, and charity, and to further their own growth in the knowledge of their Catholic faith and thereby be able witnesses of the mystery of salvation.

Charity is the first principle of the Knights of Columbus. We are men of faith and men of action. Knights volunteer countless hours of their time to charitable causes. We undertake these acts of charity because we see those in need through the eyes of faith. Moreover, in the Knights of Columbus, we approach these acts of charity together. Pope Benedict XVI called this the “practice of a community".
